Purpose of this site

We do not sell business cards on this site, or any other products. The site exists purely to inform readers who may be looking for information prior to ordering their business cards, or any other general business stationery.

Many print-related sites assume the buyer knows exactly what they want and that the buyer also understands the pitfalls associated with supplying artwork in the correct format. For the average buyer, finding the right information beforehand can be tiresome. We will hopefully help the buyer make an informed choice before parting with any money. Please feel free to contact us with any queries or if you wish a site recommendation.
If you have an artwork problem, then please use the 'Ask A Question' facility.

CD-ROM Business Cards

cd-rom-business-cards

CD-ROM business cards are basically a way of storing your business card information (plus much more) onto a mini CD (which fits a standard CD drive). They come in a variety of shapes and colours.

You can store brochures, catalogues, newsletters, multimedia presentations etc., in fact any digital media.

When first introduced, CD business cards promised to revolutionize the way people used their business cards, but it now seems as though most users still prefer the traditional board printed card however, there is a very healthy market in the production of these state-of-the-art cards and the concept is definitely well worth exploring.

Possible uses for CD-ROM business cards:

As the mini CD cards normally hold 48Mb of information, this gives you a lot of scope.

  • Give people a copy of your website on CD.
  • You’re selling your house, boat etc. or advertising your holiday home for rental. Produce a ‘virtual tour’ on your CD card.
  • Exhibitions
  • Multimedia presentations
  • School yearbook
  • Catalogues & brochures
  • Product demonstrations
  • etc. etc.

The list is only limited by one’s imagination. I’m surprised we don’t see more of them even though there are many companies producing CD-ROM business cards these days.
