Creating your own Business Cards has never been easier.

It used to be that to design your own business cards you would need a layout program, such as Microsoft Publisher, Adobe Pagemaker, QuarkXpress or similar.

These days life is a little easier, now there are online business card templates that make the task of producing your own professional-looking business cards a breeze.

Normally, when using a business card template online, you would be expected to make a purchase, but some of the online business card suppliers are making their template software available to non-buying users. Which means, you can now go online and design your own business card, without even having to register in some cases, and print directly to your inkjet/laser printer.

Using your own logo is as simple as selecting it from your computer and pressing the 'upload' button.

Fonts, colours etc., can easily be amended. If you're familiar with Microsoft Word then you'll have no problem using an online business card template program.

A couple of possible uses:

  • Use a free version to 'test' different layouts and styles, before committing your design for printing.

  • If you're not totally happy with your layout, try a few different styles, print them out and get opinions from others.

One final note: if uploading your own logo it would be best if you can send it at actual size you wish it to be used on your business card. This is especially important if you are supplying it in a bitmap format, i.e. jpeg, tiff, gif etc.
